The Sild Brothers, with first names Alfred Marius and Balduin Evald, had a studio in Sølvgade 86, Copenhagen. Here they specialized in soldier portraits. The brothers worked together from 1897 to 1902. Balduin continued by himself until 1905.
The soldier in this picture is Lars Peter Christensen, or “Las Kraesen”, as he was known back home in the village.
